Eka Chemicals increase price of Sodium Chlorate

Eka Chemicals will increase sodium chlorate prices in Europe with immediate effect, contracts permitting.

“This price adjustment is a necessity to secure long-term sustainability in the sodium chlorate business,” says Lennart Nilsson, Director of Sales and Marketing at Eka Chemicals.

“We have seen the electrical power cost steadily escalate during the last five years, which leaves us with no other option. Since electricity represents a major part of the sodium chlorate manufacturing costs, improvement in efficiency cannot alone compensate for the new cost level.”
